Very nice fivebells, Patti and others. Craig, you might have a look at Chogyam Trungpa's "Shambhala, The Sacred Path of the Warrior", a more culturally relevant description of the Buddhist path ("terma"), beginning with the discovery of our innate "…

Excuse me Trevor, are you perhaps mocking me? My life has been a series of downfalls. As a youngster my father would yell "quite being a smart aleck", and I'd ask "what's a smart aleck"? During college I developed a life-threatening allergy to dial…

Trevor and John, Oh Trevor, sorry you "fear" John didn't answer Leslie's question. Actually I found John's reply quite elucidating and authentic in comparison to your pattern of obstinate questioning without self-disclosive dialogue. Didn't we disc…

Rob,
Thanks for participating in the on-line discussion of Langri Thangpa's "Eight Verses for Training the Mind". We're closing this discussion with a summary, and I invite you to post your thoughts.
And it was an awesome game, no?
cheers

Rob,
We must have crossed paths sometime! I lived in Point Breeze near Penn Avenue from 1990 to 2003. My wife, Kathi Pajer, MD, and I were both WPIC faculty (I am a psychologist). We now live in Columbus and teach at OSU, but we're frequently in PGH.
cheers
Bill
